The autonomous women's shelters in Austria 'Autonome Österreichische Frauenhäuser' (AÖF) are publishing on aoef.at/index.php/zahlen-und-daten the most recent numbers of the organization's activities and official statistics such as that the police issued 14,643 entry and approach bans in 2022. The data are compared with the former years which show that the number of cases have been steadily increased since 2014 (8,466). In 2022, 500 women and 491 children found care in the autonomous women's shelters of the AÖF. The organization is also known for running the women's helpline against violence 0800 222 555 (Frauenhelpline) and for counseling services.

Now, the women's shelters will get additional support through a special coffee offer on occasion of the International Women's Day on 8th March at the Austrian bakery Ströck branches and the company's 'Feierabend'-bakeries. Small, medium and large coffees for 2, 3 and 4 euro will collect with every sold one 1.- euro for the Austrian women's shelters. The 8th March fundraiser was presented by Gabriele and Irene Ströck from the owner family and CEOs of the Austrian bakery Ströck. Last year, Ströck supported on International Women's Day 2022 the Volkshilfe der Ukraine, this year the proceeds will go to the women's shelters in Vienna.

It's announced that the promotion includes classics like melange, espresso, latte macchiato, caffè latte and americano as well as creative coffee variations such as caramelloccino und choco&coffee. The coffees are made from organic and fairtrade-certified Arabica coffee beans from small coffee farms in South America. Guests can choose between different types of milk from Austria, from organic whole milk and lactose-free semi-skimmed milk to vegan alternatives such as organic soy drink and organic oat drink.
