View on the side arm of the Danube in Vienna: Seafarer and diver inspired haute cuisine restaurant 'Spelunke' presented new interior including aquarium with grinning cat

The restaurant 'Spelunke' (means translated 'dive bar') received last November one toque by Gault Millau for the quality of the kitchen under chef Ralph Kampf. The gastro location at the side arm of the Danube, the Donaukanal, was opened in 2017 and has developed into a popular meeting place over the years. The concept of the cuisine as well as the interior is playful and innovative. In mid-February, the new aquarium premiered. The custom-made product with a tailor-made arch and a capacity of 1,500 liters is home to over 100 jellyfish. Inside the aquarium, the grinning cat from Alice in Wonderland looks out over the restaurant. New are also the large number of plants including a plant wall, the elegant porcelain from 'Serax' and the redesign of the benches and armchairs.

A special event tip is the 'Saturday Music Club' which happens every Saturday during brunch time from 10:00 to 16:00 with live-jazz sounds by the 'Jazzophoniker'. The band played recently at the Vienna Opera Ball. The Jazzophoniker posted today a video on Instagram with insights into the Spelunke.
