6 August 2025 ![]() Fashionable Fusion at the OktoberfestThe iconic Austrian beverage Almdudler, known for its natural alpine herb lemonade, unveils a special edition for this year's Oktoberfest in Munich through a collaboration with Marina Hoermanseder, one of Austria's most renowned fashion designers.Founded in 1957, Almdudler has long been associated with alpine lifestyle and traditional values, often personified by the "Trachtenpärchen"—a folkloric couple in Dirndl and Lederhose featured on its classic bottles. For the Oktoberfest 2025 edition, these traditional outfits have been given a modern makeover by Hoermanseder, whose extravagant, buckle-accented designs have been worn by international stars such as Lady Gaga and Rihanna. Hoermanseder, last reported on by Fashion.at in February during Berlin Fashion Week for her LEGO collaboration (article), plays a pivotal role in the Austrian and German fashion scene with her bold approach to traditional silhouettes. Now, she brings that signature flair to Almdudler's Oktoberfest presence. A Bottle in Dirndl and LederhoseThe limited-edition 0.35L glass bottles, which will premiere on September 21 at Munich's Käfer tent, showcase pastel-colored fashion interpretations of the traditional Dirndl (in soft pink and light blue) and Lederhose (in pastel lilac and light rose)—not worn by figures but presented as stand-alone fashion statements directly on the bottle. It's a fashion bottle in Munich, where tradition meets playful modernity.Complementing the bottle are two apparel items: a sweater and a T-shirt featuring illustrations of the redesigned traditional clothing. These pieces will be available from late August via Almdudler's online shop. "I wanted to modernize the Almdudler Tracht with a wink," explains Hoermanseder. "My buckle elements fit perfectly with the brand and the occasion. The result is a playful, modern and strong collection that combines tradition and pop culture." Limited Edition Only on the Wiesn and OnlineThe ALMDUDLER x Marina Hoermanseder Oktoberfest Edition will be available exclusively during September and October in selected locations across Munich, including Käfer's venues, the Madl-Wiesn at Schützen-Festzelt, and other renowned establishments such as Hofbräukeller and Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm. For those not attending the Wiesn in person, the bottle and fashion pieces will be available online at almdudler.com from late August.Image: Designer Marina Hoermanseder holds two of the limited-edition Almdudler bottles, each decorated with a pastel-colored Dirndl and Lederhose illustration, created for the ALMDUDLER x Marina Hoermanseder Oktoberfest Edition.
