Quiz about corruption in Austria presented on occasion of Vienna Design Week at Republik Kugelmugel in Vienna

Currently games around politics, power, money are theme at Republik Kugelmugel at the Prater in Vienna; on view until 7 October as part of Vienna Design Week.

fig. right: The 'World Control - The Total Board Game' is placed prominently at the second floor of the globe-shaped building of Kugelmugel. 'World Control' appears like a reflection of the architecture as well as its history which is about politics, power, borders and control (article about the house).

fig. left: Another game seen today at Kugelmugel, is the prominent Austrian board game 'KHG - Korrupte haben Geld' (Corrupt ones have money) which caused three years ago media attention as its abbreviation 'KHG' (it's also the abbreviation of the name of the former Minister of Finance) became a case for the court. The developers of the board game won the trial as the game which tries to explain corruption falls under the right of free speech (about).

fig. below: Brand new is the satirical 'KHG - Das Zitate Quiz' about the history and against corruption in Austria! The quiz-cards are fresh from the production of Vienna-based playing card company Piatnik. The 34 cards with 102 quotes and 306 possible answers is available for 12.- Euros online or for 10.- Euros at Kugelmugel. Fashion.at played three questions with the result: two false answers and the last right. Fashion.at knew the right answer not because of knowledge about what people once said (the citations are fact based), but solved the question through the suggestion of a pattern that is quasi 'laying the cards on the table'.
