Designer, artist, theorist Grace Wales Bonner is the new head of the Fashion Department at the Angewandte, University of Applied Arts Vienna

Grace Wales Bonner approaches fashion with the creativity of an artist and the analytically generated knowledge from scientific researches. The New Yorker published recently a detailed portrait of 28-years old Grace Wales Bonner by introducing into the talents of the graduate from Central Saint Martins, winner of prestigious prizes like LVMH Young Designer Prize and collaborator of Maria Grazia Chiuri at the Dior Resort 2020 collection. Particularly highlighted is the ability to combine art, fashion and science as well as the special focus on the research on identity and people with color.

Yesterday, the University of Applied Arts Vienna presented the in London born designer Grace Wales Bonner as new head of the Department for Fashion Design.
