Insights into the 15th anniversary celebrations of the Austrian 'Shopping Guide' at Park Hyatt Vienna

Fashion.at followed the invitation to the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Shopping Guide Austria on 30 January at Park Hyatt Vienna and met there representatives of the Viennese fashion and beauty scene.

1) Couturier La Hong counts to the most popular designers in the field cocktail and evening gowns. At Park Hyatt, he appeared with two models dressed in a new interpretation of the Austrian traditional dress 'Dirndl'. Instead of the skirt part, La Hong created wide long trousers for the 'Dirndl-Jumper'.

2) The image shows (from left) celebrity hair dresser Josef Winkler, salon 'Haus zur schwarzen Bürste' and Alexis Fernandez Gonzalez, founder of the store 'Runway' with focus on Austrian design.

3) The founders of Vienna Fashion Week and 'Not Another Concept Store' Zigi Mueller-Matyas and Elvyra Geyer were part of Shopping Guide Austria's 'The Golden Pop-Up' and presented selected designers from the store's current range like a shopping bag with print 'Kranke Zeiten' (Sick Times) by Ben Reyer.

4) Popular Viennese model Beatrice Körmer and Ingrid Wala, founder of the beauty salon 'Topkapi'. Ingrid Wala's Topkapi received one of this year's Shopping Guide Awards which were handed out to high-quality and consumer friendly salons and stores.

5) The image shows Krystyna Suchodolski, owner of the 'Trachten & Leder Suchodolski' brand. Last year, the label collaborated with Austrian TV-showmaster Barbara Karlich for the 'Bakarella' dirndl line. Karlich donated her part of the purchase to the children's help organization 'Pro Juventute'.

6) Goldsmith Stefanie Derhaschnig's atelier and store 'Obizzi' is named after the location nearby Park Hyatt, the baroque palais Obizzi, also home of the Vienna Clock Museum. At 'The Golden Pop-Up', the goldsmith presented among other works rings with stones arranged after astronomical signs; the design is inspired by a sail turn and the sailor's leading star formations at the night sky.
