University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, Austria calls for entries to the 'build.well.being' online challenge concerning the design of voice assistant community services in the fields digital healthcare and social care

The University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten is one of Austria's specialized education institutions that combine digital media with healthcare and social sciences. The currently open call addresses technicians as well as specialists from the fields health and social care to join the challenge and design new Alexa voice skills as community service for people of all ages. Information provided by the community data service could be for example about learning meetings in the region "Alexa, when is a learning meeting taking place nearby?" At the 'build.well.being 2020. Alexa for Wellbeing Online Challenge' website (buildwellbeing.fhstp.ac.at), interested users find links to the 'Zero to Hero' online video course (English / German) to build Alexa skills.

The application to the challenge is free of costs, experts will provide via online sessions support. The program from 9 to 19 June is published at buildwellbeing.fhstp.ac.at. The best voice service ideas selected from the submissions to build.well.being 2020 will be presented together with works by Digital Healthcare students of the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten via YouTube live-stream on 19 June.

The online project was initiated by Andreas Jakl, lecturer in programmes like creative computing, healthcare,... and researcher at the Center for Digital Health Innovation at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten.
