Viennese hotels packed special short vacation offers exclusively for citizens to learn more about their capital city

Austria isn't a big country. But it's big enough that many Austrian people haven't seen the capital city, the world-famous museums and landmarks that tell European history such as Schloss Schönbrunn (Schönbrunn Palace) or better where history is told on tours like the 'Imperial Tour', one of the highlights of the vacation (at least 2 days) offers for two persons. The new packages under the title 'Erlebe Deine Hauptstadt' (Experience your capital) can be booked from 15 July for holidays in August. The quotas per hotel are limited; the registration for getting informed when the booking starts is already possible at erlebe-deine-hauptstadt.wien.

Today at the press conference, first insights into the packages by around 40 hotels for guests who prefer classical luxury, chic trendy or comfortably casual styled accommodations were provided. The exclusive offer for Austrian citizens or people who are living in Austria starts at 199.- Euro for a two nights' stay/two persons and include a Schloss Schönbrunn tour among other must see destinations like a visit of Stephansdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral); last mentioned was presented today by Austria's popular priest Toni Faber who reminded the rebuilding of the cathedral after World War II with the help of the country's people from all federal states.

Guests can join also fashion related tours such as to the country's men's outfitter with the longest international brand history reaching back to the mid-19th century: Knize was founded in 1858 and had in the 20th century stores in cities like Paris and New York. The company is known for pioneering fashion branding; the story about the collaboration with Austrian fashion designer and advertising consultant Ernst Deutsch-Dryden (Wikipedia) for the development of Knize as international brand in the 1920ies with expansion to France and US is also a story about the country and its people.
