Trend in Vienna: Swapping clothes - just as at special events before the Vienna Ball of Sciences (happens this year on 25 January)

Recently, Viennese hair salon Wegscheider presented the new share & rent service Luxuspuppe (article) with dresses by Austrian designer right in time with the ball season. Now, one of the relatively new - since 2015, elegant events for the city's dance scene, the 'Wiener Ball der Wissenschaften' or 'Vienna Ball of Sciences' (happens this year on 25 January) steps into the trend born from thoughts about environmentally friendly fashion behaviour with own swap events on 9, 10 January and on 16, 17 January at the entrance of the IMBA Institute of Molecular Biotechnology at the 3rd district, Dr. Bohr-Gasse 3. At the ball's website, it's announced (English, German - fast checked today) that from 7th January dresses can be brought to the mentioned address for entering the ball-gown swap and to borrow another one. Only costs for dry cleaning and possible repairs will apply. Between 3rd and 10th February the dresses are swapped back to the original owner again.
