Any questions about ecological data and the visual representation in art? Perhaps they will be answered at the virtual event on 23 May on occasion of the exhibition 'Terminal' by Jesse Stecklow at mumok Vienna (20 May - 25 September 2022)

The work of Los Angeles-based artist Jesse Stecklow (born 1993) centers on the collection, analysis, and processing respectively circulation of ecological data such as about the quality of air which is normally invisible to the human eye. The 'circulation' describes a sort of loop of data with impact on the future iterations of Stecklow's works.

In Vienna at the mumok - Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig, Jesse Stecklow will place another site-specific art exhibition with the name 'Terminal'. This time, the artist will throw light on due to the pandemic changed people's behavior concerning traveling and the role of the own home on the example of the dining table which turned into the office or school desk. Works by the artist in modified versions (keyword: loop) will be presented with displays designed as hybrids between luggage carousels and dining tables. It's announced that the exhibition space at the mumok will be transformed for the exploration of the public and private space shifts caused by the pandemic into a waiting room.

The exhibition 'Terminal' will be on view from 20 May until 25 September 2022 at the mumok - Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig in Vienna. On 23 May, the virtual event guides through the exhibition (free admission). The event is announced on Facebook (fast checked today at facebook.com/events/515067523394775) with the invitation to ask questions which can be posted in advance or during the live tour.
