Viewing tip on occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January:
Documentary about three Viennese and the role of a tailor workshop is part of the upcoming focus program of Austrian broadcaster ORF on 19 January on ORF 2

Austrian public service broadcaster ORF presented the upcoming focus program starting on 19 January on the channels ORF 2, ORF III and 3sat with mainly new productions on occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January. The documentaries and movies memorate history especially with personal, authentic stories such as with ORF journalist and author Georg Ransmayer's documentary 'Die drei Gerechten' about three Viennese - Julius Madritsch, Raimund Titsch, Oswald Bouska - and how they turned from supporters of National Socialism to opponents of the Nazis and the role of Julius Madritsch's uniform tailor shop played in saving Jewish slave laborers' lives and helping others to escape from the Kraków ghetto.

Julius Madritsch was honored as 'Righteous Among the Nations' by Yad Vashem in 1964. In the Spielberg movie 'Schindler's List', the Viennese factory owner was played by German actor Hans-Jörg Assmann. Georg Ransmayer's documentary film will premiere in two days on Wednesday, 19 January at 22:30 on ORF 2. Stefan Ruzowitzky's Oscar-winning concentration camp drama 'The Counterfeiters' follows on the same day and channel at 23:25.

The program preview is published at tv.orf.at/stories/holocaust100.html.
