Freeride Film Festival presents varied program from comedy, cine-concert to films related to the risk of skiing and world politics

The program of the upcoming Freeride Film Festival which starts on 4 November in Zell am See in Salzburg before it travels until 17 November (details at freeride-filmfestival.com/en/termine-2022/) to well-known winter sport towns and cities in Austria, Switzerland and Germany, consists of five very different films for a realistic view on freeriding. Fun parts like represented by the comedy 'Sinner Fields' (filmed at the location Kaunertal in Tyrol) or the cine-concert film 'Gale' with live music performance in the cinema matching the artistic shots of freeriders in action are alternated with serious topics such as at the film 'Invisible Ground' (filmed by professional snowboarders in Verbier, Switzerland, and Tyrol, Austria) about safety in the mountains, especially the calculation of risks caused by avalanches and the love for freeriding.

An accidentally produced document of our times is the film 'Luzhba' named after a ski resort in Siberia where the film about a group of Austrians who met a Russian pioneer skier was shot before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Details about the film with trailer and information about a later video phone call with the Russian skier for the documentation of the impact of the war on his life are published at freeride-filmfestival.com/en/film/luzhba/.
