MAK Museum of Applied Arts will open in Spring 2022 the '(Con)Temporary Fashion Showcase' at the palace Geymüllerschlössel in Vienna

Today, the MAK program 2022 was presented at the annual press conference by the museum's new Director Lilli Hollein who orchestrates the museum and its branches as meeting places where interdisciplinary and interculturality are practiced together with a diverse audience. Interactivity at exhibitions, events is one of the pillars of the upcoming program such as at the '(Con)Temporary Fashion Showcase' in the museum branch Geymüllerschlössel, a Biedermeier palace from the early 19th century, commissioned in 1808 by the Viennese banker Johann Jakob Geymüller and used as summer residence, where from 7 May until 4 December visitors will have the chance to exchange about the topic fashion and step into a discourse. At mak.at, a first preview of what can be expected - exhibitions, presentations, performances and interactive features like workshops, talks,... - is already published with the outlook that the palace will "... become the long-awaited refuge for fashion enthusiasts in the Austrian museum landscape."
