The art and culture area MuseumsQuartier Wien presents the 'MQ Talks' and the 'MQ Fashion Night' as part of the MQ Vienna Fashion Week

Yesterday, one of Europe's largest art and cultural spaces, the Museumsquartier Wien, presented the program of the upcoming 'MQ Talks' and the special 'MQ Fashion Night', which will take place during the MQ Vienna Fashion Week starting on 11 September.

On the last day of the MQVFW, 16 September, two designers will be presented at the 'MQ Fashion Night'. One of them is the co-founder of Vienna Fashion Week, Maria Oberfrank, who studied at the University of Applied Arts and has been based with her label Pitour in the creative space of the Museumsquartier in her own store 'Combinat' since 2005 (biography on http://www.pitour.com/about.php). On 16 September, Maria Oberfrank will present the Pitour collection 'Kontraste', inspired by the differences between the seasons and the contrast between warmth and cold in clothing.
The other designer of the evening is the current MQ Artist-in-Residence, Thai designer Frank Weeneggsinn Kaewphongsri, who will present his label Riva with the collection 'In love with sunsets', consisting of pieces that can be worn from morning to evening. More information about the designer is published on https://www.mqw.at/en/institutions/q21/artists-in-residence/frank-weeneggsinn-kaewphongsri.

The 'MQ Talks' are co-curated by MuseumsQuartier, which offers an extensive program on the 'Summer Stage' in the courtyard of the cultural area during the warmer months of the year - in May, June, July, August and September (program on https://www.mqw.at/en/mq-summer-stage). On 12 September, starting at 4:00 p.m., two discussions will take place on the Austrian fashion landscape and its future prospects. Guests of the first discussion 'Austrian Fashion Heritage & Future Trends' will be Lena Kvadrat (designer Art Point), Elisabeth Noever-Ginthör (head of Creativity & Business - Vienna Business Agency) and Gabriele Sulzgruber-Schartl (director KunstModeDesign Herbststrasse).
From 16:45 it's announced that international participants such as Susan Sabet (publisher of Pashion Magazine), Paul Direk (designer, Thailand) and Stéphane Gaboué (fashion journalist, casting director & model scout) will broaden the perspectives and talk about the diversity of inspirations worldwide.
