Salzburg Insight: Olympian Anna Seebacher will be the fox at the 1st Radstadt Fox Hunt

The town of Radstadt in the Alps of the Austrian state of Salzburg is best known for its mountain sports activities. In winter, the region is one of the favorites for family skiing, and in summer, the town lives up to its name. Radstadt could be translated into English as 'Bike City'. Now, on the occasion of the upcoming 'Radstädter Radtage' (the bike days in Radstadt) on 10 and 11 June, the people of Radstadt will celebrate their affinity for bikes with challenging sports events, music - the Austropop band 'U3 Endstation' will perform live - and an extensive children's program. The bike days also mark the official start of the 'Stoneman Taurista', a 123-kilometer tour with 4,500 vertical meters. The tour can be done in one, two or three days.

The highlight of the special weekend will be the 1st Radstädter Fuchsjagd, the Radstadt Fox Hunt where Olympic cross-country skier Anna Seebacher (b. 1994, participated in the Winter Olympics in 2018) will be the 'fox'. The participants (limited to 75) on e-bikes have to chase and overtake the athlete on a 12-kilometer route starting in Radstadt. The event will take place on 10 June. Details are published on radstadt.com/radstadt/top-events/radstaedter-radtage/.
