Telfs – an Elegant Stop Near Innsbruck

Telfs, located around 30 kilometers west of Innsbruck, is part of a region known for its understated elegance and quiet atmosphere rather than bustling tourism. The area appears in Austrian media not only as a sporting hub, producing renowned ski athletes, but also as a stage for art and culture. Events such as the Volksschauspiele Telfs, which this year presented a fresh interpretation of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' under the direction of Gregor Bloéb, show the village's surprising creative energy. The Innsbruck region and its surroundings like Hall have been home to several important contemporary Austrian artists, including Ernst Caramelle — whose current exhibition, 'Two Dots One Line,' is on view at the Austrian Cultural Forum NYC — and Thomas Feuerstein. Feuerstein's work is currently on view at Viennacontemporary, and his comprehensive solo exhibition at Vienna's MuseumsQuartier will open on September 17.

A Third Store – and First Outside Germany

Against this backdrop of culture and creativity, the region is now welcoming a new player in the field of fashion, with labels like Balenciaga, Celine, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Prada. Fashion.at recently received an invitation to attend the official opening of Emerson Renaldi’s new store in Telfs, scheduled for September 18. Founded in 1979 by Birgit Pfeiff in Nürnberg as a boutique for Italian women's shoes, Emerson Renaldi has grown into one of Germany's leading addresses for curated designer fashion. Today, the family business is run by Olivia Pfeiff, her brother Lloyd Pfeiff, and Olivia's husband Jacopo de Manzolini. After Nürnberg and Augsburg, Telfs marks the company's third store and its first location outside Germany.

The range includes a carefully selected mix of luxury labels, as well as sought-after contemporary brands including Khaite, Jacquemus, and Sacai. Emerson Renaldi combines this selection with an online shop that offers services like Click & Collect and international shipping.

Why Telfs? A Strategic Alpine Choice

Fashion.at asked why the company selected this Tyrolean town as its first international location and what makes it special for luxury retail. According to Co-CEO Olivia Pfeiff, the company's goal is to bring modern luxury fashion to a place where high expectations and experience meet. She said that Telfs is, in their view, the perfect place to present their concept in an international yet relaxed environment.
