Salzburg in Focus: From Theatre to Trade Shows
Salzburg is, as ever in summer, the place to be. Just yesterday, the city celebrated the premiere of Hofmannsthal's 'Jedermann' at the Domplatz. Philipp Hochmair once again took on the title role, with Deleila Piasko returning as Buhlschaft. The costumes, too, are carried over from the previous production: what's good, lasts. This quiet continuity is perhaps a sign of the times, and in a different setting—not the stage, but the showroom floor—a similar message echoes: substance over triviality, curation over excess.

Second Edition of Schick: A Summer Fair for Fashion Retailers

Following its successful debut in February, the curated trade fair format Schick returns to Brandboxx Salzburg from August 3 to 5, 2025. The fair, combining the previously separate formats of Fashion Premiere, Schuh Austria, and Dessous & Bademoden Salon, brings together fashion, shoes, and accessories under one roof. The concept is targeted: a clear structure, short paths, and a curated selection of around 800 brands designed to support efficient ordering for the coming season. Names like Guess Accessoires, Sloggi, camper, MASAI Clothing, Steve Madden, Chantelle Lingerie, scotch&soda and Panama Jack will present their latest collections alongside newcomers in an integrative setting tailored to the needs of Austrian and regional retailers. Katharina Krassnitzer, head of fashion, traditional wear, and footwear at Brandboxx Salzburg, described Schick as more than just a trade fair, emphasizing that it was designed as a targeted response to the current needs of the retail industry.

Business Meets Culture with Laura Bilgeri Live

In Salzburg, it's hard to imagine an event without a stage. True to form, Schick will feature a live performance by Laura Bilgeri. The singer—daughter of musician Reinhold Bilgeri and former Miss Austria Beatrix Kopf—adds a contemporary, elegant flair to the event. Her performance bridges the businesslike and the artistic, making the fair not just a site of transactions, but of atmosphere.

From the cathedral square to the showroom: Salzburg continues to set the pace for culture and commerce. In both, attention to detail and style are what last.
