André Courrèges is born on 9th March 1923 in Pau, France. 1950 he started his career at Couturier Balenciaga. 1961 Courrèges opens his own house. In the early 60ies André Courrèges became international renowned by creating fashion for a revolutionary movement: the self-liberation of women.
