Vello folding e-bike with intelligent energy recovering KERS technology received Austrian State Prize Design

Every two years, juries of professionals select nominees (article) and in a second round the winners of the Austrian State Prize Design. At the website staatspreis-design.at, the winners 2019 in three categories and the special prizes concerning ‘DesignConcepts’ are now presented. The folding e-bike ‘Vello Bike+ Titan’ with self-recharging technology received the Staatspreis Design in the category 'Product Design/Consumer Goods'. The batteries recharge while riding downhill or braking; keyword KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) technology. Until 10 November, the shortlisted and prize winning products and projects are shown at the exhibition  'Best of Austrian Design' at designforum Vienna.
