IKEA Austria invites to New Year's Eve stream of a concert by Voodoo Jürgens and his band Ansa Panier

Celebrating New Year's Eve with friends will become a challenge - not only in Austria. Since 26 December, the country is again in 'hard lockdown'. With the arrival of the Covid-19 vaccine (Pfizer BioNTech) and the first people who got the medicine yesterday, the danger of the Covid-19 disease won't change immediately. The restrictive measures and vaccinations will become effective in April, May such as predicted by specialists. So, common Sylvester-parties with friends aren't possible this year. But there are alternatives for celebrating the end and the beginning of a new year together.

The Austrian division of the international furnishing company Ikea - for example - invites to the 'IKEA Home Stage Silvesterkonzert' with Austropop musician Voodoo Jürgens and his band Ansa Panier. On 31st December, Voodoo Jürgens will spread Viennese black humour composed from morbid texts in the city's dialect live from the stage at the Ikea furnishing house in Vösendorf digitally via online stream, accessible at ikea.at and youtube.com/user/IKEAaustria. By the way: The name of the band 'Ansa Panier' means translated from Viennese dialect as much as 'beautiful festive clothing'.

It's announced that the online concert can be reached via ikea.at. Ikea Austria will make a donation in kind and money worth 10,000 euros to Caritas Winternothilfe for homeless people. Viewers of the concert are called to support the initiative! Photo/photographer: © IKEA.
