Eurovision Song Contest 2014 winner Conchita Wurst appears on 28 May as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at 'Austria For Life' show at St. Stephen's Cathedral Vienna and in August as guest star at the water spectacle 'Aquaphonix' in the baroque garden of Schloss Hof
Conchita Wurst aka Thomas Neuwirth became internationally known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song 'Rise Like A Phoenix'. Now after the lockdown ended in Austria in May 2021, the artist is back again with two upcoming productions.
The first production is for the donation initiative 'Austria For Life' dedicated to the collection of money for non-profit organisations. The event is scheduled for 28 May inside and in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna and will be broadcasted live via TV & web. It is announced that Austrian artists from theater, film and music will present in a dramatic and entertaining way how people have faced the challenges of various crises over the past 700 years. Conchita Wurst, who will appear in the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, speask in an Instagram post about Austria For Life and calls people to take part in the initiative for helping others who are due to the Corona crisis in need. The charity show can be viewed on 28 May at 10:30 pm live on ORF 2 and krone.tv.
The next event where Conchita Wurst appears in a show is the 'Aquaphonix' water spectacle in the baroque garden of Schloss Hof in Lower Austria on several days in August. The dates were promoted earlier this month. Schloss Hof has one of the country's most beautiful gardens, once owned by Prince Eugen von Savoyen. In the last years, the garden was reconstructed after views that were captured by painter Canaletto in the mid-18th century (article).
