Vienna Insight: 'Gürtel Art Connection' night- and music clubs open their doors for the exhibition of art, music events and public viewing of the ongoing football games of the UEFA Euro 2020

From today 12th June (until at least 3 July), the 'Gürtel Art Connection' starts at several night- and music clubs along the 'Gürtel'. The Gürtel is a street which runs like a 'belt' (Gürtel means belt) around the inner districts of the city of Vienna. The Gürtel connects several inner and outer districts. The 'Gürtel Art Connection' makes another important city infrastructure provided by the Viennese nightclubs visible again after long months of lockdowns.

It's not allowed yet to run the nightclub business as always but the organisers of the 'Gürtel Art Connection' provide a programme which makes aware of the creation of the city's identity through art and music how it's practised in gastronomy and music venues like The Loft, where according to the programme graphical artists of the design and animation studio and maker of the campaign sujet (on view on this page) LWZ will present the work 'Das Wiener Gürteltier', or the Kramladen, where on 15 June artist & musician Dee Rüsche will exhibit art and release the tape 'Zukunftsstadt' (FB event).

The map-like illustration for the 'Gürtel Art Connection' from 12 June 2021 is arranged as a 13 parts puzzle which is quasi decoded at the website guertelconnection.at with closer information about the artists (photographers, game illustrators, musicians,...) whose work will be displayed or who will perform at the 13 locations at the Gürtel in Vienna.

Embedded FB post: As the UEFA Euro 2020 is currently ongoing, the Gürtel clubs also provide viewing options such as the venue 'Chelsea' where the games can be viewed indoors as well as outdoors at the Schanigarten. At the post, the upcoming tournaments are announced such as Austria competing with North Macedonia tomorrow on Sunday, 13th June 2021.
