Music tip for sports activities (ride, gym, run) and yoga: Apple Music presents Fitness DJ Mix series curated by Aluna, Loud Luxury, Valentino Khan, and Above & Beyond

The Fitness DJ Mix series was launched yesterday on 10 January by Apple Music with four playlists curated by musicians for special workout styles. Each of the mixes is introduced with a short description and the thoughts behind the selected music tracks and the order of the numbers which starts in the case of British electronic producer, singer Aluna with a warm-up phase. Aluna's good mood playlist 'Ride' provides beats and tempi in dance club style for cycling. Aluna says about the curated playlist "I take whichever club or festival I'm playing all around the world with my collection of global dance music. This time, it's on a bike."

LA-based house duo Loud Luxury curated the 'Run' playlist with focus on motivation and energy. "We're both runners, and the hardest part about it is staying motivated," is Andrew Fedyk of Loud Luxury cited at the introduction music.apple.com, "The goal here is to keep you on pace so you're never getting bored but also not losing all of your energy on one song."

LA-based DJ/producer Valentino Khan starts the 'Gym' playlist with the musician's own remix of a well-known song with positive impact on self-awareness: "Way 2 Sexy".

And the fourth playlist presented at the new Fitness DJ Mix series is curated by UK trance trio Above & Beyond for 'Yoga'. The ambient music mix opens with the track 'Abandon Window' by Jon Hopkins. On music.apple.com/us/album/fitness-yoga-january-2022-dj-mix/1601171495, the musicians speak about their approach to the collection of music which was led by the energy and tempo of vinyasa flow yoga. The trio has a tradition in using 'Abandon Window'. "It was the opening track of our first yoga set at Robot Heart, Burning Man in 2014, and sets the mood instantly."
