Visitors in stylish 80s outfits get free entry to the special 'Late Night and Music' event at the exhibition 'Basquiat' in the Albertina in Vienna

The Albertina invites on 11 November from 19:00 until 22:00 to a special event at the currently (until 8 January 2023) running exhibition 'Basquiat - The Retrospective'. Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960 - 1988) is strongly associated with the 80s New York music and art scene and the communication of social topics through art works developed from word raps from music (hip-hop), cartoon stories, and street art. Music appears explicitly as reference in several exhibited works. Basquiat owned more than 3,000 records, was a DJ and produced his own album.

Albertina teamed up with Vienna-based DJs 'Moonshine Bunny' (also known for making events under the name 'curated by. Moonshine Bunny') for the 'Late Night and Music'-event where visitors can view Basquiat's works while listening to music that influenced the artist once.

Admission is free for visitors in a stylish 80s outfit!
