14 September 2025 ![]() peng!, FM4, and the Spirit of SabotageFounded in 2007 by Roman Globan, peng! evolved from a Vienna-based fashion and culture magazine into a creative studio known for its sharp, playful approach to merchandise and art direction. Today, the small but focused team – Globan as Creative Director, Philipp Roller as Art Director, and Lenka Globanova as Head of Design – produces merchandise, campaigns, and capsule collections for cultural institutions and brands.FM4, Austria's alternative radio station, has been a cultural mainstay since January 16, 1995, offering a mix of English-language news, international music, and support for local talent. Its first broadcast famously opened with Beastie Boys' Sabotage – a statement of intent that the station would defy convention. Thirty years later, FM4 and peng! honor that rebellious spirit with a wearable tribute: the Sabotage Collection. Fashion with Resistance: The CollectionThe FM4 x peng! Sabotage Collection has been released in several drops throughout 2025, celebrating FM4's 30th anniversary. The first pieces dropped earlier his year. The collection consisting of casual tape-striped jeans, outdoor jackets, bags, and accessories like a silk scarf and reflective bracelet are available in the FM4 online shop. The most recent addition is the oversized Recycle Bag, made of 100% cotton. It is designed for festival essentials or PET bottles. It is currently available in muted rose, with a blue version coming in November.According to the press release, the collection stands for fashion with resilience, pop culture in fabric form, and festival gear for all weather conditions. The pieces feature hand-applied tape elements, intentionally wrinkled or raised for a DIY effect. Sustainability is key: fair-trade cotton, regional printing, and small-batch production make each garment a one-off. The striking yellow tapes and military-inspired cuts would not look out of place in the video for Twenty One Pilots' new single City Walls, where Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun wear survival gear marked with yellow stripes in a story of breaking free from control. Like the band's visual metaphor of tearing down Dema, FM4's collection celebrates creative resistance and stepping off the beaten path. FM4 Unlimited: Where to See It LiveThe full Sabotage Collection will be presented on October 3, 2025 at the annual FM4 Unlimited event in Vienna's Prater. Since 2017, this free open-air festival has combined DJ sets with free access to selected rides in the Wiener Wurstelprater. This year, the collection will be showcased at the Kinderautodrom Pop-Up from 18:00 to 22:00, where visitors can see, try, and purchase the pieces. FM4 wristbands can also be personalized on-site. After 22:00, a free shuttle takes guests to the official club night at Pratersauna.Image: Austrian musician Sodl wears the FM4xpeng!
