7 March 2026 ![]() The Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2026, presented by Coca-Cola, celebrated Austria's music scene with a gala evening in Vienna's Marx Halle. Under the motto "All Eyes on Music", the country's most important music awards honored artists whose releases and performances shaped the past year. The FM4 Award and a new voice in Austrian pop-rapAmong the winners was Nenda, who received the FM4 Award. The musician from the Tyrolean Alps is one of the most visible new voices in Austrian pop and rap. Her music combines dialect, English lyrics and contemporary pop-rap sounds. The track "UMBRL", featured recently in the Fashion.at Music Playlist, reflects themes of intimacy and trust, using the idea of an umbrella as a symbol of protection and shared space. The song appears on her album KRRRA.The FM4 Award is one of the most closely watched categories of the evening. Unlike many other prizes, it is decided entirely by the audience of the radio station FM4. For the 2026 edition, the station's editorial team first selected a longlist of 20 artists. After a first round of voting, five finalists – Laurenz Nikolaus, lovehead, Magda, Nenda and Tamara Flores – competed in the final public vote. Because the result depends solely on listeners, the FM4 Award is often considered a strong indicator of emerging talent and current musical taste in Austria. Electronic and hip-hop winners with international reachThe Amadeus Austrian Music Awards was established in 2000 by the Austrian music industry association. They focus exclusively on artists who live and work in Austria. In most categories, winners are determined through a combination of music sales data, expert jury evaluation and public voting, creating a balance between industry recognition and audience popularity. Two further winners also appeared previously in the Fashion.at Music Playlist recommendations. Parov Stelar, one of Austria's internationally successful electronic producers, received the award in the Electronic/Dance category, adding another trophy to his long list of Amadeus recognitions. In the Hip Hop/Urban category, RAF Camora took the prize once again, marking his ninth victory in this genre and eleventh Amadeus Award overall, thus confirming his lasting influence on the German-language rap scene. Altogether, the ceremony presented awards across numerous genres and industry categories, highlighting both established stars and emerging voices.
