Measuring Interest Across Three Platforms

Fashion.at regularly analyses how readers use its digital platforms. Different measurement instruments and tools provide insight into user behaviour across the main domain Fashion.at, the beauty channel Beautyme.com, and the podcast platform Confashion.com. These data sources support the editorial work by helping to understand which topics attract attention and how interests change over time.

In 2025, a new tool was added to this analysis: Google Analytics Advisor. This artificial intelligence application within Google Analytics allows publishers to ask direct questions about usage data. Fashion.at used this option to gain a structured overview of reader interests during the year. The question asked was: "Can you summarize the trending topics which brought users to fashion.at through the year?"

Fashion and Beauty as a Strong Core

According to the Analytics Advisor, fashion, style, and beauty content formed the strongest thematic core in 2025. Readers were especially interested in Austrian fashion, seasonal topics such as traditional Trachten, and articles about sustainability and slow fashion. Beauty-related content published on Beautyme.com also played an important role in attracting users. These results underline the continuing relevance of fashion journalism with a local and cultural focus.

Quizzes, Culture, and Digital Curiosity

Beyond classic articles, interactive formats gained visibility. Quizzes on fashion history, wedding etiquette, or sun protection proved to be engaging entry points. Cultural topics linked to everyday life in Austria also performed well, especially when fashion was connected to local events or creative projects. At the same time, readers showed interest in broader questions about technology and society, including artificial intelligence, communication, and media literacy.

The Google Analytics Advisor summarised the findings as follows:

"Fashion, Style, and Beauty: This is by far the most popular category. Your audience is drawn to content about Austrian fashion, seasonal trends like 'Trachten' (traditional Austrian clothing), and sustainable or 'slow fashion.' Your beauty content, under the 'Beautyme' channel, also attracts a significant number of users.
> Interactive Quizzes: A noteworthy trend is the popularity of quizzes. Topics like fashion history, wedding etiquette, and sun protection, when presented in a quiz format, have proven to be very engaging for your users. This suggests that interactive content is a great way to connect with your audience.
> Culture and Local Events: There's a clear interest in content that ties fashion to local culture and events in Austria. This includes everything from articles about biker shirts at Faaker See to artistic makeovers of post boxes. This shows that your audience appreciates content that is culturally relevant and specific to their region.
> Technology and Society: You also have a curious audience interested in understanding the world around them. Topics like AI in communication, emotional intelligence, and how media shapes our reality have also been popular, indicating an appetite for more thought-provoking content alongside fashion and lifestyle.
In essence, your audience is looking for a mix of fashion and style advice, engaging and fun content like quizzes, and articles that connect with their cultural identity and intellectual curiosity.

Outlook: Fashion.at as a Mirror of Change

Looking ahead to 2026, no fixed topic agenda has been defined. As in 2025, Fashion.at aims to remain a mirror of current developments. The focus will stay on researching relevant issues in fashion, culture, lifestyle, and society, and presenting them in an accessible and hopefully entertaining way. The data from 2025 suggest that readers value both familiarity and curiosity – a mix that will continue to shape the editorial approach.
