Surreal #FashionFilm 'First Spring' by Chinese #artist Yang Fudong for Prada
Recently, Shanghai-based artist Yang Fudong (born 1971 in Beijing, studied at the China Academy of Fine Art, Hangzhou) exhibited his video installation 'The Fifth Night' at Vancouver Art Gallery. The videos show old Shanghai scenes. The narrative of 'The Fifth Night' is described to offer views on "...new China as well as a rapidly changing contemporary society, and explores the tension between traditional ideologies/values, and recent modernization."
