Thermalbad Vöslau presents swimsuits inspired by early designs of Rudi Gernreich

Thermalbad Vöslau (since 1873) is located in Lower Austria nearby Vienna and counts to the country's most beautiful locations when it comes to public swimming pools. On occasion of the currently running exhibition 'Show Off. Austrian Fashion Design ' (until 30 August) at MAK Museum of Applied Arts Vienna, the extension of the constantly since 2015 growing Thermalbad Vöslau collection (presented at voeslauer-designshop.com) by re-edited designs of Rudi Gernreich (1922 - 1985) found its starting point. Rudi Gernreich, who became famous in the 1960s for the creation of the 'monokini', is one of the presented Austrian fashion designers at 'Show Off'.

Images: The two versions of the Rudi Gernreich x Thermalbad Vöslau swimsuit - one in the bath's signature blue and the other with a print referencing Wiener Werkstätte, were launched yesterday with campaign image showing German model Lucie von Alten in front of Austrian photographer Elfie Semotan's lens. The pattern is described as monokini with bandeau. The swimsuits are available in a limited edition of 50 items for each version.
