Artist Peter Jellitsch applied his signature environmentally inspired painting as wavy brushstrokes to clothing he designed and a bag for the Thermalbad Vöslau collection

Every year the thermal bath Vöslau in Lower Austria surprises with the selection of a designer or artist for new pieces for the public bath's own collection, which started in 2015 (article) and has grown continuously since then. The spa's online shop at https://www.thermalbad-voeslau.at/ no longer features all of the pieces from the almost ten-year collaboration (fast checked by Fashion.at today), but the 2024 collaboration - a unisex line with artworks by the Austrian artist Peter Jellitsch - can be found already online.

The award-winning artist has collaborated with companies such as Accenture Austria, Jaguar (the Art Car is presented on https://www.peterjellitsch.com/), and now with the thermal bath which belongs to the mineral water brand of the same name, Vöslauer. Over the years, the selection of a designer or artist for the thermal bath collection has become a kind of award or 'nobilisation' for achievements in lifestyle design.

The Thermalbad Vöslau x Peter Jellitsch collaboration comes as a set consisting of a shirt and shorts in three sizes (S, M, L) designed by Peter Jellitsch, who applied his signature nature-inspired painting as wavy brushstrokes to the classic summer striped fabric from the basic textile range of Viennese bespoke shirt maker Wäscheflott. "I was fascinated by working with the striped fabrics - they remind me of lined paper. The fabrics were my sketch paper," (translated from German) the artist is quoted as saying in the press release. Wäscheflott's basic shirt and short cuts have been reinterpreted by Peter Jellitsch through a new design for the limited edition of 100 pieces, made of fabrics in two color tones - blue or white.

According to the press release, the entire production - printing and sewing - takes place in Vienna. There are 50 pieces in white and 50 pieces in blue, in sizes small, medium and large. The items are available in the Thermalbad Vöslau shop and in the Vöslauer online shop at https://www.voeslauer.com/. Photos: © Thermalbad Vöslau.
