Tomorrow Vienna Fashion Week kicks off with the Opening Show, which will give an overview of the collections of the participating design labels and projects, some of which have already been previewed on Fashion.at (article). Recently Edith Agay gave a first glimpse of what will be featured on the label's runway on September 12th. The show coincides with the 25th anniversary of the eponymous label of Austro-Hungarian designer Edith Agay who was trained by renowned personalities such as Helmut Lang, Marc Bohan (Dior) and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. The new Renaissance-inspired collection draws heavily on the aesthetics and design principles of Greek and Roman antiquity, with a special nod to the work of Leonardo da Vinci. Agay's designs revisit past eras, blending classic artistic elements with modern fashion. The color palette emphasizes black, white and red, with striking gold accents. Agay uses rich, textured fabrics and artfully draped pure silks to create dynamic, architectural designs that flow with the movement of the body.
