Fashion.at visited the Austrian Press Days where new and upcoming fashion, beauty and culinary products were presented: Bakery Öfferl opened online coffee shop with focus on sustainable products

Today, Fashion.at followed the invitations by two press agencies to the 'Austrian Press Days' at different locations in Vienna for closer information about new and upcoming fashion collections, cosmetics and culinary like the products and the people behind the bakery 'Öfferl'. The in the third generation family-run bakery was founded in the 1960s in Gaubitsch (Weinviertel in Lower Austria) and has grown due the quality of its breads made of cereals from farmers of the region and the team which combines biodiversity and biodynamic agriculture for bread, milk, honey, coffee,... with the appearance of the products in a fashionably designed own grocery store-bistro chain. Brand new at 'Öfferl' (the name is a loving modification of the German word for 'oven') is the online shop where coffee from sustainably working farmers around the world is available. On the press day, Fashion.at met Öfferl's Director of Coffee, Martin Wölfl who recently won the 'Brewers Cup' at the Austrian Coffee Championships 2021 during the currently ongoing gastronomy and hotel industry fair 'Gast' in Salzburg.

The competition foresees that baristas prepare coffee at first with a given product. In a second round, the participants of the challenge can choose individually a product for the preparation of coffee. The jury selected the coffee by Martin Wölfl who used for the 'Brewers Cup' the Öfferl 'A1 - Alex Specialty Filter'. The coffee A1 is named after the coffee farmer Alex Keller from Guatemala where the beans come from. In September 2022, Martin Wölfl will compete for Austria at the World Brewers Cup during the World Coffee Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
