Today, Fashion.at received a collection of simple yet tasty spread recipes from Maggy Müller of Vienna Picnics, who launched her new outdoor dining company last year (article) after co-managing the Wiener Heurigen (vineyard tavern) 'Müller's Heuriger' in the city's winery region Grinzing, where she gained, among other places, her gastronomic expertise. Known for her flair in creating memorable culinary experiences, Maggy Müller is now expanding her Vienna Picnics service with a new indoor gastro location in Vienna's 18th district, set to open in early July, as revealed today in a phone call with Fashion.at. Fashion.at chose one of the spread recipes created by the picnic specialist herself. The criteria for the selection were healthy ingredients (vegetables, nuts), aromatic taste, easy preparation and the idea of fusing Wiener Heurigen and Mediterranean flavors. Spread with Dried Tomatoes by Vienna Picnics' Maggy Müller Ingredients: 1 jar of dried tomatoes 1 handful of grated Parmesan 1 clove of garlic 6 tablespoons of ground almonds A few leaves of basil A few sprigs of thyme Olive oil Balsamic vinegar Salt & pepper Preparation: Pour the jar of dried tomatoes with oil into a tall container. Peel and chop the garlic, then add it to the container. Add the grated Parmesan and ground almonds. Tear the basil and thyme leaves and add them. Puree the mixture with a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar using a hand blender. Season with olive oil, salt, and pepper. (Note: Do not puree the olive oil to avoid bitterness.)
