Sculpture 'Visualizing the invisible' is one of the artworks by Iris van Herpen at the exhibition 'Biomorphism' at Swarovski Kristallwelten Store in Vienna

Recently, the exhibition 'Biomorphism' by Iris van Herpen was officially opened at the Swarovski Kristallwelten Store at Kärntner Strasse 24 in Vienna. For her work, the designer is inspired by dance, nature, and physics. At 'Biomorphism', Iris van Herpen explores the performance of femininity with couture gowns such as the 'Infinity'-dress (the dress is named after the infinite, hypnotic pattern created by air circulation which moves the three-dimensional white organza material) and larger-than-life sculptures. The female face (on view on this page) appears like a ghost formed by the atmosphere of the universe. The sculpture carries the name 'Visualizing the invisible' and was created in collaboration between Iris van Herpen and Tyrol-based glass artist Bernd Weinmayer. 'Visualizing the invisible' is inspired by the endless mysteries of nature and explores the forces behind nature's manifestations.
