Austrian Green Events Award 2021 winning Windrad Festival announced the lineup of the upcoming online music concert on 9 December

Two days ago, the names of this year's winners of the Green Events 'nachhaltig gewinnen!' Awards (founded 2011) by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology were made public. The awards are handed out to organisers of sustainable events in categories concerning sports, culture and festivities. For the first time, participants had the chance to submit projects to the special category 'Ideas competition for virtual green events'. Among the winners, the first ever wind turbine festival 'Windrad Festival' which happened on 30 April 2021 via online videos showing acts by Austrian musicians filmed at various windmills in Austria (article).

The videos of the first Windrad Festival can be viewed at windrad-festival.at, where the teaser for the next virtual concert for the 'Windkraft Festival Finale' is already published with closer information like the date (9th of December) and time of the premiere of the new videos. Austrian saxophonist 'Max the Sax' aka Markus Ecklmayr, who worked with musicians and orchestras like Parov Stelar or the Bruckner Orchester Linz, and the music duo MÖWE consisting of Clemens Martinuzzi and Melanie Ebietoma are announced to be seen performing in the gondola of a windmill high above the grounds of the Weinviertel in Lower Austria.
