Swimwear-catwalk: inspired by the Amazon mysticism and the pre-Inca salt mines in Maras, Peru

The Peruvian label 'Aguaclara' (Spanish for 'Clear Water', founded by the siblings Jorge and Liliana Villalobos in 1998) presented the new swimwear collection SS2012 on 18 July at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. For this collection, designer Liliana Villalobos was inspired by the magic that surrounds the pre-Inca salt mines in Maras in Peru and the mysticism of the Amazon. Beneath traditional patterns from the Andes, Aguaclara presents shiny surfaces that remember the reflections of the sunlight of the salt mines and swimwear pieces enriched with golden details.
