#Award rules like a manifest for a new #art movement which uses internet #technologies, is defined by transnationality...

On newtechnologicalartaward.be artists are invited to submit descriptions of a project to the New Technological Art Award 2012 'Update_4' until 31 March 2012 and get the chance to win a prize and be exhibited.

The award website is designed for easy navigation. The text in the category 'Award Rules' could be taken as an inspiring source for a manifest of a new art movement which is characterized by the use of new sciences like telecommunications or genetics, materials such as fluids; and this movement has no boundaries - no spiritual (religion, philosophy) or any geographical as it is transnational.

"Artists in this sense belong to a group who has become citizens of the world through the Internet. Technological Art thus quite easily exceeds the boundaries and must be open to very different sensibilities. A work of Technological Art belongs to the global culture and does not belong to the tradition nor the characteristics of minorities." newtechnologicalartaward.be/en/reglement.html

An international jury such as media art pioneer Peter Weibel (Director of the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie in Karlsruhe, DE) will select the works for the New Technological Art Award 2012.
