Music/photo: multidisziplinary artist Nikki Sixx brings music and photo into the linear poetry of a book

On 25 August, multi- and interdisziplinary California based artist Nikki Sixx - he founded the rock band 'Mötley Crüe', is an author who brings music and photography into a linear poetic story, releases an own fashion line which reflects the rock style of his music 'Royal Underground'..., will discuss his view on photography with journalist Kristine McKenna (wrote for the The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone magazine...) in front of around 200 invited guests on occasion of the exhibition 'Beauty Culture' (over 100 beauty/fashion/art photographers in an arrangement that questions femininity, cult, business) at the Annenberg Space for Photography.

The video below shows an interview with Nikki Sixx by the music media 'NME' (radio, TV, magazine, clubs...) about his new book 'This Is Gonna Hurt: Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx' (released in April 2011) and photography as a personal form of expression. The book accompanies the album 'This Is Gonna Hurt' by the rock band 'SIXX: A.M.' (consisting of Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba from Guns N' Roses, and James Michael whose name is known from projects with Papa Roach, Alanis Morissette..).
