The CG Retropy Sandal by Craig Green is the highlight of the new Adidas Originals X Crag Green line for hot summer days. The sandals are a reinterpretation of the signature archival Adidas look. The numerous cutouts seem to reveal the essential parts that make the shoe work, similar to a skeletonized watch. Craig Green's Retropy sandal, with its neoprene upper, elastic lace closure and Boost midsole, may evoke associations with motor yacht ropes and water ski equipment. The look, however, is both raw and highly technical. The sandal comes in two colorways: white and black. The Retropy is one of three new silhouettes designed for Adidas Originals by award-winning British designer Craig Green, who joined the University of Applied Arts in Vienna last fall as professor of fashion design (article). The first show of the fashion class under the direction of Craig Green will take place on June 6th (article). The CG Retropy Boost, CG Retropy Sandal and three new colorways for the CG Squash Polta AKH are released today, evolving from previous designs and exploring innovative takes on classic Adidas styles. The CG Retropy Boost features an all-over Boost midsole and rubber outsole in two monochromatic colorways. The CG Squash Polta AKH reinterprets a 1988 squash shoe with transparent details and a rubber outsole, now available in three new colorways.
