New beverages made from verjus for the aperitive or drinks with friends by Austrian brand 'Jus(t)'

The town Poysdorf, located in the Austrian Weinviertel (translated 'Wine Quarter'), is known for its agricultural products such as apricots (article) or grapes. Now, a new beverage was developed with fruits from the region - the verjus sprizz with the name 'Jus(t)'. 'Verjus' denotes a juice from unripe grapes; the word originates from French for green juice 'vert jus' and is pronounced in French.

The company behind 'Jus(t)' was already founded in 2015. Since this year, winemaker Werner Hauser and his nephew, who is responsible for the marketing, Christian Glock present the 'Jus(t)' verjus sprizz in two versions which are numbered like creations of perfumery. The Jus(t) No. 1 is a mix of verjus, gin, rosemary and lavender; Jus(t) No. 2 consists of verjus, vodka, basil and rose; both with 4% alcohol - so take care when drinking! The new beverages were created together with barkeeper Roman Mitas who mixed cocktail-like refreshing drinks intended for the aperitive or for meetings with friends in the evening.

This year, the new drinks were already presented at fashion and design events in Austria (FB events). The next announced event with Jus(t) drinks is Fesch'markt from 15 to 17 November in Vienna.
