Renner has created a solo work for ABSOLUT GENERATIONS inspired by the ABSOLUT bottle. Using a model of his studio as both an environment and a canvas – a recurring device in his work – he has assembled various objects (scaffolding, a drum kit, a fire extinguisher) around what appears to be a man-sized bottle of ABSOLUT. ‘I wanted to put the famous bottle on stage like a pop star,’ says Renner, ‘and make it look as big as the ABSOLUT project of supporting the arts.’
