Biography… Cornell Collins

On the late autumn day of November 2, 1974, Cornell Collins was born in the small town of Trenton, North Carolina. His mother worked as a production sewer of men's shirts in this town of 530 people and raised Cornell with high expectations. Sunday church for Cornell's family was not just a social obligation, it was a cultural requirement. Services functioned as a means by which the community could interact in a situation where your appearance and grooming was formally recognized. Although this atmosphere was somewhat restrictive, it instilled in Cornell a very strong foundation from which he would later draw on as a designer.
