Insight into Austria's Weinviertel: 'Horst Sitte' FW21/22 presents a series of handmade knitwear in long-lasting fashion style with sporty touch designed by Franziska Schilcher

The Weinviertel (means as much as 'Wine Quarter) carries its name for a good reason. The region in the north of Vienna in Lower Austria is known for the quality of agricultural products like grapes or apricots. The wine quarter is prosperous in other fields too such as archaeological research due to its dense settlement in prehistoric times (article about museum MAMUZ Schloss Asparn) and specialized workshops producing small series of handmade jewelry or fashion.

Recently, Fashion.at received the latest preview of the upcoming Autumn/Winter range by the manufacturer of knitwear 'Horst Sitte'. The family business was founded in 1985 by Horst and Brigitte Sitte in Wolfpassing, Hochleiten. (The embedded Instagram post below shows the couple.) Today, the knitwear company, which sells its products in stores in Austria, Switzerland and soon in Germany as well as online, is headed by the daughter of the founders Franziska Schilcher who created for Fall/Winter 2021/22 a series of basics in long-lasting fashion style inspired by classics with reference to active, sporty lifestyle.
