Fashion goes timeless and sustainable. Adidas presents special icon collection of timeless sneaker designs from the late 1960s up to nowadays in partnership with Parley for the Oceans

No other footwear category shows such a great variety of designs and counts at the same time so many iconic models over decades. What sounds like a contradiction is in the case of sneakers reality. Sneakers are the footwear with the highest wearing comfort and - when additionally made of sustainable material and manufactured in an eco-friendly production process - the climate friendliest shoes nowadays.

Adidas announced recently the launch of iconic models like the Stan Smith (designed in the early 1970ies), Superstar (design developed in the late 1960s), Nizza or Forum made with a yarn consisting of 50% recycled material from plastic waste which was collected at beaches and shorelines by the brand's long-term partner Parley for the Oceans. The organization is dedicated to the prevention of pollution. The partnership connects the protection of the oceans and the development of new materials. Videos on adidas.com/originals-parley provide insights into the environmental and design activities.
