Vienna Business Agency presents Vienna-based designers with focus on sustainability at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week: MARS and Linda Sekoll

MQ Vienna Fashion Week has several partners from the Austrian government and administration; one of them is the Vienna Business Agency (Wirtschaftsagentur Wien), which supports local and international companies in doing business in Vienna. On 12 September, the Vienna Business Agency will feature two Austrian design labels starting at 18:00 with the fashion show by Vienna-based designer Marlen Sabetzer's label MARS. Sabetzer's collection promises to redefine personal expression through clothing, pushing the boundaries of conventional design. For the preview, the label has provided a selection of images showing ballet dancer and member of the Vienna State Ballet, Rebecca Horner, in fashion by MARS.
MARS was nominated for the Austrian 'Vivienne' prize for ecological textiles, which was awarded for the first time this year. The label was founded in 2014 and made its MQ Vienna Fashion Week debut last year. It's announced that the color palette of the 2023 collection is more desaturated compared to last year, but stays true to the exceptionality of the fabrics. MARS challenges the norm by exploring unconventional finishes and textures.

The show of the 'retailored' collection by Linda Sekoll will take place at 18:30. Linda Sekoll develops new designs from handpicked second-hand garments with focus on making crossdressing for men and women possible.

More information about the designers and show schedule, tickets can be found at mqvfw.com.
