Fashion.at's 'Power Cookies' made with oatmeal, apples, bananas, nuts - without sugar and flour

Autumn is apple cookies baking season at Fashion.at! The 'Power Cookies' with apples (energy boosters!) are currently the favorite in-between energy snack and served to coffee in the afternoon. The fruit biscuits are easy to make and keep their good taste for at least three days. The fruit-nut power snacks can be made in various sizes from small round balls to the form of classical cookies.

Ingredients for the amount of cookies on view at the image above

  • 400 gr oatmeal (Fashion.at mixed flakes and fine grounded oatmeal)
  • 100 gr grated walnuts
  • 4 bananas
  • 3 apples
  • 1 lemon
  • Ginger (around 5 cm of a root)
  • 1 shot rum
  • Cloves (ground)
  • Cinnamon (ground)
  • Cardamom (ground)

Preparation

  • Peel and core the apples, dice them.
  • Place the diced apples in a bowl and season with a dash of rum, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves.
  • Mash the bananas in a bowl and mix the mass with the grated lemon zest and ginger; season it with cardamom and some lemon juice.
  • Mix the banana puree with the oatmeal and walnuts
  • Add the apple cubes

Note: The dough should not be too runny but also not too dry - the biscuits must be easy to shape from it.

  • Heat the oven to 180° Celsius and bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes (the smaller ones are ready earlier).
