PLAYING THE CITY 2
at Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, Germany
8 (opening day) - 26 September 2010

Surprisingly interactive city-playground

From 8 to 26 September 2010, the Schirn Kunsthalle coordinates public art events with more than 20 international artists in Frankfurt. The city-people will be involved into 'Playing the City 2' with projects like the 'Tape Installation' by the Austrian-Croatian design collective For Use/Numen or Frankfurt-native Jördis Hille's surprisingly interactive 'Public-Walking-Talking-Mobile'.

From 8 – 17 Sept, Frankfurters and city guests can walk through the For Use/Numen tubes made of tapes for getting a cocoon feeling while being in an outdoor-inside.

On 26 September, Jördis Hille is taking photos with the mobile phone and sends it via bluetooth to another person. Her work is about producing, processing and consuming images and focuses on the cultural phenomena of our digitalised society. The artist closes her art work on this day by invitating her 'digital image collaborators' to a picnic on the Konstablerwache.
