Austrian State Prize Design 2022 for Consumer Goods, Investment Goods, Product Design Interior added two special categories 'Spaces & Environment' and 'DesignImpact-Concepts' (submissions possible until 15 Feb 2022)

Even if it is a long time until the next presentation of the State Prize Design 2022, the time is running quickly to submit projects and concepts for participation in this prestigious award.

The Staatspreis Design 2022 (State Prize Design) will be handed out by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (Bundesministerium für Digitalisierung und Wirtschaftsstandort) at the award ceremony on 25 May 2022 at the Arena21 of the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna. It's announced that the projects of the winners, nominated and selected participants will be exhibited at first at designforum Wien and later at several other locations in Austria.

The jury, which is set together of experts like architect Gregor Eichinger, will select the winners for the categories 'Consumer Goods' (sports & leisure, mobility,...), 'Investment Goods' (machines, devices, vehicles,...), 'Product Design Interior' (furniture, tableware, light & lighting,...) as well as the two special categories 'Spaces & Environment', which focuses on the design of exhibition, interior spaces and the design of orientation systems, and 'DesignImpact-Concepts' with prizes for 3 design concepts with high relevance for society by young designers (students, graduates).
