Creative Club Austria presented the highlights of advertising 2020, 2021 with the annual book in a new order after social topics: Green, Present-Future, Realities,...

The Creative Club Austria was founded in 1972 and is the country's advertising Olympus, where the minds behind the best campaigns can be found. From the 1970s to the 2020s, advertising changed with the media and the demands of new audiences for values such as climate protection or diversity.

On 3rd February 2022, the Creative Club released the 43rd edition of the annual book, the CCA Annual 2021 - a heavyweight of 3,84 kg with more than 670 pages, published by Falter Verlag. The book can be read from both sides. One part shows the advertising highlights according to traditional categories - the 'Category' part, while the other - the 'Beyond' part - looks beyond the visuals and texts of the campaigns to the cultural and social circumstances from which they arose. Anna Nagy, Art Director of the agency 101, where the concept for the book was developed, explains in the press release (text translated from German by Fashion.at): "Since we are convinced that the creative industry reflects and processes social developments in its work, we defined new categories and filtered the winning works according to them."
Therese Kaiser, Publisher of period.at wrote the analytical, critical texts for each of the 'Beyond' categories like 'Aesthetics' about used design elements or in the chapter 'Realities' about minorities and extraordinary perspectives on the world. Creative Club Austria President Andreas Spielvogel points out that the 43rd edition of the yearbook shows what has moved people creatively over the past two years, including trends, discourses and designs.

Instead of the live presentation of the new Creative Club Austria Annual 2021, an illustrious circle of CCA-Venus award-winning advertisers met at Hotel Imperial Vienna with photographer Marcel Köhler for the book campaign 'Beyond Category'.
