Recently, results of the study were published on bvdw.org such as that 82 percent of the respondents believe that the fashion industry will benefit most from the metaverse. Nico Wohlgemuth (DAYONE), deputy chairman of the metaverse department at the BVDW, encourages to think dematerialization for consumer goods such it was practiced in gaming for years and is a new megatrend in the fashion business like for the outfit collections for avatars or the promotion of products in the metaverse. Last mentioned activities lead to another important result of the survey. 87 percent of the respondents are convinced that the metaverse will influence primarily marketing and PR across all sectors. The third aspect mentioned at the BVDW article alongside the outlook for industries with the most benefits and the corporate divisions where the metaverse will be established the fastest, is education for the job market. According to Carsten Rossi (Kammann Rossi), head of the Metaverse Lab: Society – General Framework, Ethics and Sustainability in the Metaverse Department of the BVDW, a close cooperation between educational institutions, research institutes and companies is needed for preparing young people for future requirements.
